On the first Thursday of every month we hold a Birthday Bash for the residents of the shelter that have a birthday that month. Friends and family come together to celebrate and enjoy the delicious cakes. This past Birthday Bash was a huge success and we want to thank everyone that attended!

Charlestown Retirement Community is holding the 1st Annual Volunteer Opportunities Fair Thursday, May 26 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. There will be community organizations from all throughout Maryland including Lazarus Caucus. We encourage everyone to come and get there early. Members from the Community TV Studio will also be videotaping the event and interviewing some of the participants for broadcast.
