About Us

Lazarus Caucus, Inc. is a faith-based, non-profit organization created to assist the homeless and formerly homeless in becoming employed,  self-sufficient, and permanent residents of Baltimore County. Lazarus’ purpose is to provide assistance to the Westside Shelter residents through a variety of programs that include, food, clothing, and a resource center. Lazarus is dedicated to providing an organization that can assist the homeless in both short-term and long-term needs,  through disciplined, organized action that is non-violent and politically non-partisan. Lazarus Caucus is entirely dependent upon the generous donations of time, money, clothing and food provided by  businesses, organizations,  and individuals within our communities.

Accomplishments of Lazarus Caucus over the past few years:

  2. Provided daytime shelter for children, their guardians and the elderly.
  3. Established a Resource Center to provide  resume writing, interviewing skills, job search skills,  financial  literacy and computer skills training.
  4. Educated the Community about the complex issues that cause homelessness and the work required to eradicate homelessness.
