Thank you for gathering this evening to support the mission of Lazarus Caucus and our work with Baltimore County’s Westside Shelter. As is the case every year, we are so grateful for your support and generosity. This year, however, I want to express a special thanks to all of you for continuing to support us despite this past year’s significant financial challenges. It has been a tough yeat for so many people and we want you to know that we recognize and appreciate your extraordinary dedication. Thank you!
As you know, we are a volunteer-led and volunteer-run organization. Thus it is because of all of you that we have been able to accomplish great things again this year. Your financial generosity and selfless dedication to the “least among us” is truly inspiring. Although homelessness is indeed on the rise and more and more people are seeking shelter than ever before, you may take heart in knowing that you and this community truly are part of the solution.
